HISTORY OF FILMS:

The history of films is complex but exciting at the same time. It all started in the 19th century through a series of technological development which lead to the making of, “workers leaving the Lumiere factory” by LUMIERE BROTHERS in 1895. The idea behind all this was to capture motion on film and just before this idea they invented photography, AND THEY CREATED CERTAIN IMAGES. They wanted to convert those images into motion creating a full fledge video or film to show some real-time movements. Furthermore, LUMIERE BROTHER’S other film “train entering the Gare de Ciotat” also released in 1895 caused people to faint with fear as the train loomed from the screen into the theatre auditorium, these two movies did not carry a story or a narrative they merely showed a moving image on the screen. This reveals that the idea of the film was produced a very long ago since then, people have started trying new methods and techniques to portray their idea in the form of a motion picture and calling it a FILM. As time went by people started to learn new ways to make a film even better and invented great technology to improve the quality of their films, in addition, big universities started providing filmmaking courses that helped produce the best producers and directors in the whole world such as Warner Bros and made it easier for the youth and people from every age group to witness a full fledge film with great quality and a great narrative. This was a brief introduction to the history of films, now I want to discuss my film genre and its rich history.
